Durability THERMAX boards and Rockwool core provide a stable substrate for plastic laminate surfaces and are not affected by changes of temperature and humidity under normally accepted living conditions. Hard plastic laminates with their high resistance against scratching and cleaning agents and high impact strength make it a very durable and maintenance free surface. However, plastic laminate surfaces in general cannot be recommended for areas where there is a likelihood of relative humidity falling below 30% R. H. Because of shrinking stress in the laminate this very dry condition could affect the glueline or cause cracks in the laminate. In addition, in case of a fire, no hydrochloric or similar corrosive gases are generated which could cause severe damages especially to electric and electronic equipment.

Workability THERMAX non-combustible boards are flat rectangular boards with a smooth and even surface. They contain no cement or other aggregates which could significantly affect the service life of tools. Conventional joiners tools and woodworking machinery can be used.
